In the modern world full of distress, it is said that those who have met pure Buddhadharma are the fortunate ones. Through listening, contemplating and putting Buddha’s wisdom instructions into practice, we are able to see for ourselves that only Dharma can protect our mind so that we can always experience peace and happiness while fulfilling all our wishes. Our practice of love and compassion is driven by the sincere wish that all living beings can experience such pure and everlasting happiness. To achieve this goal, we must sincerely rely upon Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. With his powerful blessings, seeing our world and everyone through the eyes of compassion will give us the energy to progress along the spiritual path and eventually attain enlightenment for the benefit of all living beings.
In this Dharma Celebration, Gen Tonglam will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Avalokiteshvara and give teachings on the practice of transference of consciousness (Powa). We shall establish a deep connection with the holy beings and receive their powerful blessings. Through this and our pure intention, we can help the recently deceased, the dying, and ourselves to reach the Pure Land of Buddha Avalokiteshvara and abide in pure and everlasting happiness.
